Read your traffic

Interpret views, unique visitors, and referrers.

Goal

Use dashboard analytics to understand traffic and interpret metrics consistently.

Prerequisites

Steps

  1. In the dashboard, open Sites and select your site.
  2. Open Analytics.
  3. Select a time range.
  4. Review the metrics shown: views, unique visitors, and referrers (when available).
  5. Use the Top pages and referrers sections (if shown) to understand what content is performing.

Expected result

You can explain what each metric represents and identify trends worth acting on.

Troubleshooting

  • If Analytics is unavailable, your plan may not include analytics (see /docs/billing/plans-and-limits).
  • Some visitors block tracking or use privacy tools, so counts may be lower than expected.
  • Unique visitors are an estimate. Over multiple days, the same visitor may be counted more than once.
  • For metric definitions and edge cases, see /docs/analytics/metrics-definitions.

When upgrading helps (if applicable)

Upgrading may help if your current plan does not include analytics, or if you need a higher analytics tier.
