Terms of Service
Terms governing use of the Vertifo service.
Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Vertifo (the “Service”). By creating an account, using the dashboard, or publishing a site through the Service, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1) The Service and documentation
- The Service provides tools to build and publish websites, including plan-based limits and optional features.
- The canonical description of plan limits and behavior is documented under
/docs/*. Where these Terms reference product behavior,/docs/*is the authoritative technical source. - The Service may change over time. Features, limits, and availability can change due to plan changes, product updates, security, or operational constraints.
2) Accounts and acceptable use
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- You must not use the Service for illegal content, malware, abuse, or to violate third-party rights.
- We may suspend or restrict access if we reasonably believe your use creates risk to the Service, other users, or third parties.
3) Plans, limits, and enforcement
- Access to features (including analytics, custom domains, templates, and publishing) depends on your current plan.
- Limits and enforcement may prevent adding content or publishing if your site configuration does not fit your current plan.
- After a downgrade, some pages or features may become locked or unavailable until limits are satisfied or you change plans.
See /docs/billing/plans-and-limits for the product’s limit model.
4) Publishing and public availability
- Publishing is applied at the site level.
- A published site is intended to be publicly accessible. If a site is not published, visitors may see a “site under construction” experience.
- Menu visibility controls navigation, not necessarily access. Depending on configuration, pages hidden from the menu may still be reachable via direct link.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, instant propagation, or that changes will appear everywhere immediately.
See /docs/publishing/draft-vs-published for canonical behavior.
5) Custom domains and DNS
- Custom domains may be available on paid plans.
- Domain verification typically requires you to add DNS records (such as TXT) at your DNS provider.
- DNS propagation, DNS provider behavior, caching, and third-party systems are outside our control. Verification and domain routing are provided on a best-effort basis.
We do not guarantee that domain verification will succeed within any timeframe, or that a domain will be usable before verification completes.
See /docs/domains/verification-and-troubleshooting.
6) Analytics
- Analytics are designed to be privacy-friendly and are presented as aggregated metrics.
- Analytics may be incomplete or approximate. Some visitors block tracking or do not send referrer information.
You should not rely on analytics data as complete, real-time, or error-free for compliance, legal, or financial decisions.
See /docs/analytics/metrics-definitions.
7) SEO and search engine indexing
- The Service may provide tools that generate metadata or structured data to help with presentation in search engines.
- Search engines and social platforms ultimately decide how (or whether) to crawl, index, rank, or display your site.
We do not guarantee indexing, ranking, rich snippets, traffic, or any SEO outcome.
8) Your content
- You retain ownership of the content you create and upload.
- You grant us a limited license to host, process, and deliver your content solely to provide the Service.
- You represent that you have the rights required to publish the content and that it does not violate third-party rights.
9) Third-party services
The Service may integrate with third parties (for example, payment processors like Stripe, hosting providers, DNS providers, or email providers). Their services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control and do not guarantee their behavior.
10) Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
11) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- We are not liable for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business interruption.
- Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid to us for the Service during the period applicable under your local law (or, if none, the prior 12 months), unless applicable law requires otherwise.
12) Changes, suspension, termination
- We may update these Terms from time to time.
- We may suspend or terminate the Service or your access for security, legal, abuse, or operational reasons.
- You may stop using the Service at any time.
