Draft vs published
Draft vs published
How public visibility works for sites and pages.
Publishing controls what visitors can see.
Enforced rules and constraints
- Publishing is applied at the site level. If a site isn’t published, visitors will see a “site under construction” experience instead of the site content.
- When a site is published, visitors generally see the most recently published version of the site.
Edge cases and failure states
- Menu visibility controls navigation, not necessarily access. Depending on how your site is configured, pages that don’t appear in the menu may still be reachable via direct link.
- Changes after publishing may take a short time to appear everywhere.
What is NOT supported
- This page doesn’t cover private or access-controlled pages. If you need access control, confirm it’s available in your current setup before relying on it.
