Analytics metrics definitions
What analytics measures and how to interpret the numbers.
Analytics helps you understand traffic to your published site using a privacy-friendly approach.
Enforced rules and constraints
- Analytics access depends on your plan. Some plans provide a site-level overview, while higher tiers may include per-page analytics.
Metrics
Views
Views are the total number of tracked page views in the selected period.
Unique visitors
Unique visitors are an estimate based on a privacy-friendly method designed to avoid identifying individuals. Over a multi-day range, the same person may be counted more than once.
Referrers
Referrers are derived from the referrer domain when available. Some traffic sources don’t provide referrer information.
Edge cases and failure states
- Some visitors block tracking. As a result, analytics may undercount traffic.
- Analytics are designed to reduce invalid traffic and attribute visits to the correct site/domain when possible, but results may not be perfect in every scenario.
What is NOT supported
- Individual visitor profiles.
- Cross-device identification.
- Cookie-based attribution.
